The Eagles are one of my favorite bands of all time. Their southern rock style is universally loved. I remember being in grade school when the album Hotel California came out. The bus driver played the song on her 8-track tape player while everyone sang the title song.
Looking from top to bottom, the initial image is a Spanish style mission, enhanced by a brilliant red sunset in the background. Beneath it are the members of the Eagles, derived from a promotional photo. The bottom portion both reflects the lyrics of the song as well as a visual of the iconic Route 66.
This mixed media piece measures 36”w x 48”h, and is mounted on a 3 inch backing painted black.
