"There's No Place Like Home", 48"w x 36"h, Mixed Media on Board

‘There’s No Place Like Home” is a commentary on women’s empowerment.

In a nod to “The Wizard of Oz”, a sea of women’s legs fitted into strapped, black high heels stands together, as one stands out wearing a ruby slipper. An iconic line from the film appears in the middle of the piece: “You’ve always had the power my dear.” Also stencil painted onto the work is the appearance of a golden (yellow) brick road.

This mixed media piece measures 48”w x 36”h on board, with a 3-inch backing painted flat black.
